2024 EDC MJHMP Input Survey
2024 El Dorado County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Update Public Input Survey
The El Dorado Sheriff’s Office is updating the County’s Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan (MJHMP) that will cover El Dorado County and four participating jurisdictions, including the City of Placerville, Georgetown Divide Public Utility District, the County Office of Education, and Cameron Park Community Service District. The MJHMP will build off the existing 2019 Local Hazard Mitigation Plan and be developed in accordance with the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000.
The MJHMP update will analyze the planning areas vulnerabilities to natural and human-caused hazards and identify mitigation actions that can be taken to minimize property damage and improve life safety prior to a hazard event.
The purpose of this public survey is to collect information from the public and stakeholders to better understand the vulnerabilities within El Dorado County and each of the participating jurisdiction’s planning areas, as well as solicit input on needs to best mitigate, or reduce, the impacts of hazards before they occur. The feedback will be shared with a local planning committee to inform the planning process and the development of the MJHMP update.
We appreciate your participation in this survey. Please complete this survey by March 1, 2024. If there is additional information that you would like to share, please stay tuned for upcoming public workshops.
